Another 3 hours northwest from San Clemente is the hidden paradise of Faria Beach Park. With only 38 highly desirable campsites, you must make reservations in advance to get a spot here. The park lies between the Pacific Ocean and the base of the Santa Ynez mountains along Highway 1. Sit on the rocks just behind your tent and watch dolphins swim by while you sip your morning coffee. The concession stand has a delicious and well-priced menu, and the entire park has WiFi. Unbelievable! There is a set of stairs to the right of the campground (if looking out to the ocean), where you can access the beach. This spot is seriously a slice of heaven! Enjoy!
There is nothing better than arriving at the beach and feeling incredibly prepared for an epic day of sun-soaking and salty ocean air! We spent a day at the beach with ocean lifeguard of 10 years, Chip, a self-proclaimed beach connoisseur and beach essentials expert and got the skinny on what to fill our beach bag with!
Here is Chip’s ultimate beach setup:
Straw lifeguard hat
Sun shade tent
Comfy beach chair
Lunch (duh Chip!)
Having a sun shade tent is a game changer, especially if you bring your pets to the beach. It is crucial for your skin to take a break from the pounding UV rays, it will block blowing sand, and it provides some nice privacy!
We love our backpack cooler, because let’s face it… only “shoobies” drag their heavy coolers through the sand!
Don’t forget to re-apply your sunscreen and drink plenty of water! Happy beach day!

“Fiore Restaurant is more than any other diner. We tweak Italy’s finest recipes and make it our own. We provide a warm ambiance to match our food and service. We guarantee a fulfilling meal – carefully made yet never late. Ask for pasta, sausages, pizza, desserts, seafood and wine. We have the best to offer; probably the closest taste there is to authentic Italian delicacies. We started with open table years ago and had bloomed into a full-grown restaurant in the metro. Fiore, also an Italian word for flower, is proud to reach its acme. To give back to the community and to our patrons who have expressed their love for us, and to pay it forward to people who are looking for a professional career in the kitchen, we decided to hold our own culinary classes. Our syllabus includes discourse on the fundamentals of Italian pasta, appetizers, bread, wines, seafood and meat; taught by highly-skilled professionals throughout the week. Fiore Restaurant also offers advanced courses on the Italian cuisine, which also focuses on the cheeses, rice, soups, sauces and yes, coffee. Attendees also get complimentary olive oil upon finishing the course.” http://fiorerestaurant.net/
