DOWNTOWN VENTURA: The Historic Downtown District , which is also a fabulous Art District, has several blocks closed to car traffic creating a delightful ambience for enjoying Ventura’s quaint architecture and moderate climate.
It is spotted with restaurants, breweries, wine tasting spots, boasting umbrellas and stages for musicians on both sides of the street. There are lots of fun stores as well, especially the antique malls and thrift stores where treasures can be found that are left by others. MIDTOWN VENTURA – Next to Downtown, Midtown is in the heart of Ventura, encompassing the area above Harbor Boulevard all the way into the hills, between San Jon Road and Lincoln Drive on the West, and Mills Road on the East. Along with housing over 30,000 Ventura residents and historic hotels such as the Pierpont Inn, it holds the areas two major Hospitals and Medical Centers, and the town’s largest shopping district.
